Seeing as I doubt the assistant pastor is going to be reading my blog any time soon.. here are some pictures of the cakes I made for the church for his 10 year anniversary at the church..
I think they turned out pretty cool. :)
Because we're always traveling, and it's always crazy!

Thank you! :)
Very cute Kate! You did a great job...see, you don't need me to join the business...lol!
Yes I do! You would bring a different element to the business. :) And thank you!
I'll be the businesses comedian!! How's that? Ha!
lol. You are very funny. :)
Great job Katie! I love looking at all your creations! Also, just wanted to let you know...thanks so much for your inspiration...due to your FB post I got connected to your blog and it got me thinking...long story short you have inspired me to just slow down and focus more and more on the blessings that God has given us and really stop and change some things that need to be changed in my life! I thank the Lord for people like you who set a great example of living for HIM!
Thank you for your kind words. I seriously am humbled at how awesome God is. God has really been working on me during this time, even if I am pretty stubborn. lol. I would love to hear about what is going on in your family! I love hearing how God is moving and working! :) Thank you for sharing with me!
I had written a long response to your above comment but it didn't seem to work, so long response short:)...since writing my comment, a few days later we had traveled back to WI for a 5 week trip, then Rob's mom came back with us for 10 days and just left yesterday! I just want to say again how much of an encouragement and example you've been to me. Sometimes we just need to take a break from things and just get even more focused on what God's calling is for us in our life and do it to the best of our ability. It's a refreshing time! Since Rob's been gone, I've felt like there have been more "little" trials than normal, with us just being sick so much more than usual and just getting out of routine, focus and consistency, etc. I get these "pity party" moments that Satan takes advantage of and then i snap out of it and realize that I can't get tangled in his web of destruction! I have learned a lot and grown greatly through this deployment specifically! Going on our trip even more enhanced my realization that change just cannot allow us to get out of touch with what we know we need to do! Do God's work the best we can! I am so thankful for my family and God's love, grace, mercy and forgiveness! Things have been getting better and I'm looking forward to what the future holds! God's testing should only make us stronger and I'm thankful to Him for allowing me to realize that! Rob is such a wonderful leader of our family and encouragement as a godly man! I couldn't ask for a better husband! And our children are just amazing as well! There are so many things to be thankful for, I just need to not get "down" over the little things and pick my head up and refuse to fail when I know God is on my side! Thanks for your awesome example as a godly "sister" in the Lord! It has been a blessing getting to know you even if it is through email and FB! You have touched my life in a great way! Hope you are having a great Lord's day! Praying for you and your family and hope you all are doing well! I noticed your husband will be home for a bit soon! Happy for you all! Praying the time you have with him goes by very slow and then the rest of the deployment flies by!
-Great cakes...one of my passions as well, but your work is so inspiring!
